Field Trips​
Educational Field Trips are also a part of the many valuable things we offer our NSBE Jr. students. From Conferences and Conventions to Competitions, we want to ensure that we expose our youth to other things that are not offered in Southern Maryland.
General Body Meetings​
The Southern Maryland NSBE Jr. Chapter has General Body Meetings the first Saturday of each month to handle official NSBE Jr. business and also engage in other activities such as engineering activities or even inviting guest speakers to present on various topics.
39th NSBE
National Convention
The 39th NSBE National Convention was held in Indianapolis, IN March 27-31, 2013. Bruce Jackson, Brandon Jackson, and Debrianna Reed; along with their Advisors Paige Lewter and Paul Burks attended the convention.
End of the Year Banquet
The End of the Year Banquet was held in June 2013 with the Patuxent River Professionals Chapter. Students were recognized and special awards were given.
Summer STEM Workshops
In July 2013, two summer STEM workshops were hosted by the Southern Maryland NSBE Jr. Chapter. Topics included robotics, math, science fair, and more...
Fall Regional Conference
The Southern Maryland NSBE Jr. Robotics Team, The Circuit Breakers, attended the Region 2 Fall Regional Conference in Charlotte, NC from November 8-10, 2013.
NC A&T College Tour
The Southern Maryland NSBE Jr. Robotics Team, The Circuit Breakers, toured North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
